It’s no secret that LED strips have become immense popular. Although usually not directly in sight, LED strips are all around us. This versatile bestseller is everyone’s favorite. The Yphix LED strip assortment consists of an extensive range of high-quality and flexible LED strips for any application inside and outside. Our latest addition are the Yphix COB LED strip series. The advantages of COB LED strips
LED strips that shine over a short distance on a surface, may not evenly illuminate that surface. That is because regular LED chips are placed at a certain distance from one another. The greater the distance between the LED chips, the less even a surface may be illuminated. A profile with a milky white cover is typically used to reduce this effect. The light will be distributed a bit more diffusely.

If you want a completely smooth light line, then choose a COB LED strip from Yphix. These strips are equipped with no less than 480 LED chips per meter. This guarantees an even light line. Even without using a milky white cover!

What is required to install COB LED strips
The LED strips work on a constant voltage of 12 or 24 Volt, so you need a 12 or 24V LED transformer to bring the power from 230V AC to 12 or 24V DC. Consider which transformer you will need, dimmable or non-dimmable. For the best result, place the LED strip in an aluminum profile. This ensures good heat reduction and guarantees a long lifespan. A profile with a cover blocks dirt from entering the strip while protecting it as well.

All Yphix LED strips can be shortened and connected to the desired length. Yphix LED COB strips are available on rolls of 5 meters. The strips can be shortened and reconnected. Making it also possible to connect several pieces of strip together to create lengths of >5 meter.

LED strips are flexible lighting solutions that offer countless possibilities to illuminate spaces. LED strips process light in places and ways that were not possible before. The many ways to operate COB LED strips
There is a good choice of ways to control Yphix COB LED strips. Start by determining if you wish to control the LED strip before the transformer at 230V or after the transformer.

Control before the transformer at 230V AC (always in combination with a dimmable transformer):

With a regular light switch (on/off)
With a 230V push and turn dimmer
With a 230V Zigbee push and turn dimmer

Control after the transformer on 12V or 24V (always in combination with a non-dimmable transformer):

With a 12/24V Yphix dimmer and remote control
With a 12/24V Zigbee dimmer (to optionally control the LED strip via the Philips Hue app, a Zigbee wall control, a Zigbee remote control, or a combination of these options)

Note: if you opt for Zigbee-based control, you will always require a Hub/Bridge
