LED LIGHTING AT THE CENTER BRUGGE THEATER HALLS
Project information:
Location: multiple locations in Brugge, Belgium
Application: Cultural institute
Cultural Center Bruges (CCB), home to all the arts, is at the center of cultural events in the city of Brugge. With 8 locations across the city - Koninklijke Stadsschouwburg, MaZ, Biekorf, Daverlo, De Dijk, Bogardenkapel, Poortersloge, and Exporuimte Burg they provide an up-to-date interpretation of the cultural experience. The Bruges Royal Stadsschouwburg (1869) is one of the best preserved city theaters in Europe and was thoroughly restored in 2001. Behind the austere, Neo-Renaissance facade are a majestic theater hall and a palatial foyer in an eclectic style.
To upgrade their technical installations at its theaters, the CCB recently invested in their lighting solutions. Each theater is well equipped with high quality spots and dimmers for their podium. Foyers, halls and seating areas were recently upgraded with Yphix LED lighting that incorporates spotlights, indirect light and general lighting. The new and flexible solution includes dimming functions and creating lighting effects on demand.
The extensive Yphix range of high-quality, double-tested and perfectly dimmable LED bulbs and spot proved to be the perfect base to select from for this high performance project. The high quality LED chips and drivers in each and every light source ensure together they create even lighting throughout. The lighting solutions blend in harmoniously into the overall setting of the theater.
The new LED lighting has been very well received. They have also enabled the CCB to reduce energy consumption notably. And thanks to the high quality and long lifespan of the new Yphix lighting, the new system requires significant less maintenance effort.
